From left to right picture…. 1) I always love the mistakes…. you would think they would redo the board?  2) Light on the board…. I like it!  Not on the newer board.  3) Potentiometer…. why for the display?  I did not touch it!  🙂  4) Also brings a new meaning to a “2 layer board”…. bad joke?  🙂

 

This is an IDX timer that is installed in Fragramatics vacuums.  I assume by looking at the circuit board it is also meant to hook to your bays also.  IDX also sells a stainless steel housing.  This timer somehow retails for $711.99…. while a normal IDX BT912 – Big Two Timer retails for $570.00 from KR?  I assume GinSan is just…. Well GinSan?  🙂

UPDATE: SOLD…. this was another item I could not believe I had a hard time selling. But I did! LOL 🙂 I would have paid twice as much if I needed the timer…. just to put it on my shelf.

I have 2 and yes I will sell them.  🙂  You either know exactly what is going on here…. or you are saying what on Earth is this pos timer.  LOL  🙂  There is a very small niche market for this time I believe?  I know of only 2 Jim Coleman setups where this timer works?  I have a hint on one situation below.  Do you know both setups?  I bet you do not.  🙂  It is like a challenge!  I also bet there is not a Dixmor replacement for this timer?  I actually have never seen one of these timers until I got it around February this year.  But I never saw them at shows or at any car wash.  Mainly because Coleman does not bring the equipment these timers are installed in to shows.  🙂

For people that are interested…. these are IDX BIG Time timers in action! IDX is still competing in the crappy website contest. They are in the top 5 for sure…. Plus “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” on the IDX website pretty much means “it will never happen”. 🙂 Well I have waited 10 years. LOL 🙂

The IDX BT800 BT800A timers are not supported by IDX anymore and IDX will not repair the timers for you.  But if they did repair them…. it would cost to much anyway!  JK  🙂  I am pretty sure these timers were not made in China also…. because the quality of Chinese items are 100x better.  JK…. well sure!  🙂  The BT900 (which is what I thought I was purchasing at the time) are built 10x better.  But my main problem with the BT800 is it just seems for a timer at that price they should have redone the circuit board instead of using jumpers across the board?  But the reason might have been because they sold multiple versions and used the same board then had to jump things?

UPDATE 2015.05.30: I sold all four of these timers. I really did like these timers. But to be honest…. I purchased them and just never installed credit cards and well…. these timers. LOL 🙂 My other problem was the plastic housing…. I personally felt the housing needed to be metal. But the guy I purchased the timers from said he used them with plastic housings? So I guess plastic is fine? 🙂

The reason the purchaser said he had to purchase this timer BT800 over the BT900 was because the BT800 had the capabilities of displaying the message upside down!  No I do not know how to achieve this.  Weird that they removed this function though?

Jim Colman Water Wizard 1.0 Off-Board Control Panel Parts.  The version on the wall is 6500.  Not sure what the other model number is.  🙂  It did not come with the box.

Someone told me both are compatible…. But before I know for sure I will not disclose who just in case. 🙂

Do you have a Jim Coleman Water Wizard 1.0 or 2.0? Do you know where the data is stored on the unit? I was over at Greg’s wash the other day and during normal conversation this came up. Seems normal right? LOL 🙂 Well I have researched the redlion cl20 and how to program the device in the past but I got confused with the answer to the question. I thought this might help someone? If anyone knows or cares how stuff works? 🙂 The plc actually stores the data and the red lion is just the interface. Which the guy that corrected me immediately reminded me of that fact. I also checked it indirectly today while testing my new/used red lion I just purchased for way to much money! Which confirms the red lion does not store data. JFYI

Also the Red Lion is just an interface…. like your tv and your remote which is programmable. You do not leave on your tv to record things do you? DO NOT ANSWER YES! 🙂

What is also interesting about not caring about how anything works…. besides the large percentage of car wash owners. My guess is 75% mostly express people. Computer programmers were bad also…. some programmers did not even know basic information about the box they programmed on all day. Some never even visited it! I visited all the computer rooms everyday…. even when there was no need to! LOL 🙂

 

What is the retail on a fancy hunk of plastic like this?  Just wondering….. I hate calling Jim.  🙂
