What happened when my Dixmor DX-1000 Weep Mizer did not work?

IMG_2447.JPGIMG_2449.JPGIMG_2450.JPGIMG_2453.JPGIMG_2452.JPG

(First picture from left) 1) All my high pressure hoses were frozen. 2) Broken tire cleaner hose. 3) Broken RO water hose. 4) This was a surprise, broken high pressure hose. Also a rainbow.

(First picture from left) 1) Hydrominder got stuck. 2) And another RO water hose busted.

I am not really sure why the Weep Mizer did not work, but my theory is that I had it on the screen where you select if you want it “on” or “off” and it was on “on” but I guess you have to leave the screen? All I know is that it just didn’t work.

Foam hose and Sensortron problem

IMG_2237.JPGIMG_2243.JPG

Pretty nice busted hose for my foam brush.  When the bay wall is covered in chemical it is always bad.

The first picture shows the Sensortron spring sprung off.  This caused the magic quarter to fall out and the coin acceptor did not work correctly.

How not to remove a pulley? – Update

IMG_2312.JPGIMG_2314.JPG

So I tried to remove the pulley again. I tried Bill’s suggestion on heating the pulley. It worked heating the shaft but now the puller and this little metal piece (in the second picture) is not allowing the puller to pull. I gave up for now.

Original Post link Bill’s quote: “I have done the same, breaking a stuck pulley. 2 ways you could have removed the pulley. 1. heat the shaft with a cutting torch. The heat would have expanded the pulley and the puller would have removed it. by putting some tension on the puller first, and then adding heat, the pulley would have popped free. 2. Since the motor was junk anyways, you could have cut the motor shaft off with the pulley attached, and either had it pressed out at a auto parts store, or put the pulley loosely on top of a vise and hammered the shaft through to remove it. Always and I do mean always use antisieze on everything you assemble to help you at a future time in case it ever needs disassembly.”

Jim Coleman light problem

IMG_2325.JPGIMG_2322.JPGIMG_2332.JPG

So my circular fluorescent light on my Jim Coleman vacuum was burnt out and the ballast was broken. So what should I do? Well, what about installing 2 compact fluorescent lights? I thought it was a good idea.  My only problem after I installed the lights was that the lights staying on all the time and when the vacuum is turned on the lights go off, any ideas?

Boom leak

IMG_2043.JPGIMG_2174.JPGIMG_2178.JPGIMG_2187.JPG

I thought that my 90 degree swivel was leaking but after I replaced it with my shiny new Mosmatic swivel. I noticed that the boom is leaking. It looks like if it was welded where the previous weld is maybe it would quit leaking?

Lots of RO problems

IMG_2144.JPGIMG_2151.JPG

Nice little leaky hose.

IMG_2141.JPGIMG_2157.JPGIMG_2162.JPGIMG_2163.JPG

Another RO problem was when anyone used the RO water, bay 3 got RO water also. This was caused from crap in the solenoid. My RO system is wired to only run when someone activates it in one of the bays.

IMG_2159.JPGIMG_2297.JPGIMG_2295.JPG

Every time I touch something on the RO system something has to break. So the brass push lock fittings started to leak. I removed the last 4 left and installed plastic push locks. Done for now, I won this time RO system!

Air Compressor problem

IMG_2124.JPGIMG_2127.JPGIMG_2126.JPG

I figured out what was wrong with my Dad’s air compressor, it had no oil in it.  So I purchased some compressor oil and it still does not work.  All I have to do to get the compressor working is spin the pump pulley while flipping it on.  This will start the compressor working.  I guess since I ran the compressor without oil, the pump is ruined?  Or is their a way to fix it?
