LAI lock install

Second try on the Fragramatics vacuum Van Lock replacements.  This time I purchased LAI series 500 locks that can be installed left and right and the key can be pulled out!  (The fist picture shows the Van lock and the second picture shows the LAI 500 lock.)

Lawn mower died!

I got up really early to cut the lawn at the car wash, so I would not catch on fire and the mower broke.  I think I will purchase a new mower tomorrow.

It is a Bolens MTD electric lawn mower.

LAI lock install

IMG_0005.JPG

I ordered a couple LAI locks to check them out and ended up ordering the wrong kind.  I ordered the B622F 600 series high security cam locks that can fit the cylinder locks that I also ordered.  But with the high security locks you can not remove the key when the lock is unlocked,  it has to be in the locked position to remove the key.  This feature is really crappy because the Fragramatics vacuum has 3 locks on the door so I would need 3 keys to open the door, not cool.  So I am going to have to purchase some 500 series cam locks, but the 500 series can turn right and left where the high security can only do one or the other, which is good.  Wow what a pain.

Weed eating

I was doing some weed eating today and my weed eater broke.  I did not open it up yet to see what the problem is but it sounds like a belt.  FYI it was purchased in May 15th, 2007  it was a Black & Decker electric trimmer / edger a Grass Hog XP.

Hamilton credit card acceptor problem

IMG_9695.JPGIMG_9688.JPGIMG_9698.JPGIMG_9699.JPGIMG_9700.JPG

So after the download procedure I noticed that my credit card acceptor was not working.  It seems very easy to trouble shoot on the acw-5.  There are 2 plugs (second picture) on the back of the reader the second plug (red and black wire) should be 5 V DC.  While the top plug (yellow and brown) should be 5 or 8 V DC, of course it was ZERO V DC.  So I need to purchase a new credit card acceptor because Hamilton does not repair the acceptors anymore.  They cost $320 from Hamilton, but I called my buddy Randy Nix at Eagle Car Wash and he treated me right.

Am I cheap or practical? You decide!

My Weep Mizer was giving me the wrong temperature so I went to Lowes to purchase a thermometer.  I really wanted to purchase an ir thermometer but my cheap / practical side made me purchase the $5 digital thermometer instead of the ir for $64.98.

My Weep Mizer says it was 43 degrees and the cheap thermometer said it was 38 degrees.

Greg told me that there was a screw on the censor to adjust the temperature on the Mizer.  I decided to just adjust the start temperature by 5 degrees!
