Meter door break-in

IMG_4139.JPGIMG_4140.JPGIMG_4142.JPG

My meter door got broken into.  This time they stole the timer, broke the shelf the timer sat on, stole the slugbuster quarter and tried to steal the coin acceptor.  That is not cool.

Mechanical coin acceptor for the vendor

The coin acceptor was just spitting out coins and did not hold them.  Anyone who knows anything knows that this means the screw to determine the price has worked itself out.

I actually was able to screw the screw back in without removing the coin acceptor.  The second picture shows why the coins get rejected.  The last picture shows how it should be setup.  I actually had no idea how to fix this.  I had a spare and was going to throw the other away.  I tested the new coin acceptor and then noticed the problem.

Rowe changer problem

The changer had the error message “CK L COIN DETCTR” again.  This time I took Richard Bailey’s and Greg’s advice and try to fix the changer.  I used this brush to clean the chain, and the coin hopper.

Then I removed the coin assembly, which seems to cause all the problems.  I also dumped the coins out and tried cleaning it out.  I also cleaned out the LED.  Seemed to work fine.

Desmond and Tywanna Walker dumped garbage near my dumpster?

IMG_3718.JPGIMG_3719.JPGIMG_3721.JPGIMG_3720.JPG

My friends Desmond and Tywanna Walker dumped garbage near my dumpster today.  I guess it was them?  Maybe someone stole their garbage?  It was filled with junk food and over 20 boxes of unopened baby food and 2 boxes of unopened cereal.  Looking at their T-Mobile cell bill I think they need to trim back their $116.13 bill.  I don’t even pay that much for my cell phone bill.  They also need to invest in garbage pickup. But then again, I have 2 dumpsters and garbage pickup at my house.

I think if they are the ones that dumped the garbage (unless they got setup), they should reconsider their trip to Marietta, GA and pay for my garbage pickup.  Also, I hope they went to the library to use their computer.

Greg made fun of me for just resetting the changer when I get this “CK L COIN DETCTR” error message.  So this time I checked things out better and noticed that the light for the 40vdc on the power control center was not on.  Could be bad?  I guess I should call Suncoast like Greg told me to.  Afterwards I just reset the changer.

Homelite Electric Mover?

IMG_2801.JPGIMG_2804.JPGIMG_2805.JPGIMG_2878.JPG

Well, it is that time of year again and my crappy lawn mower for the car washes is broken again.  I believe that the mower got wet or something and rusted the engine?  But, I am sick of gas mowers not working the next year so I purchased this Homelite electric mover.  It is a lot smaller then my nice gas mower and fits in my small trunk of my car really well.

The mower is quieter and really seems to be powerful.  At least as powerful as my crappy gas mower.  It is a 20 inch 12 amp system.  But the cord is going to take some time to get use to; it really was not as bad as I expected though.
My only problem is I am afraid I am becoming an environmentalist wacko.  I also was discussing making a compost heap for the house so I did not have to bag all my grass.  Then I started to research TerraPass and saw my friend Ed Begley, Jr.  Well, maybe not TerrPass, but it did made me happier when I realized my car emits 26,079 lbs of CO2 per year and I use 1,333 gallons of gas.
