IDX Coin acceptor problem

photo.jpgphoto1.jpgphoto[1].jpg

My IDX coin acceptor got jammed then someone beat on it until the timer lost power.  After I cleared the jam I noticed the IDX acceptor was giving me the red / green lights of death.  I tried resetting but no luck.

Can a fuse be swapped with a breaker?

I had a Fragramatics vacuum blow its fuse (FNM-30), which is a time delay.  I know that the Coleman vacuums use a breaker (not sure what kind) and not a fuse.  So my question would be: could I just swap them out?  I do realize that the breaker will not fit in the fuse holder (I did have that shape discovery toy as a child).

I guess I am a Mitsubishi tech?

IMG_0366.JPGIMG_0370.JPGIMG_0371.JPG

Well my Mitsubishi DX-TL900U finally broke. Well, the hard drive gave out, which is normal I guess.  The Mitsubishi website said that the unit needed to be sent in to a tech. But the site also said that the operating system was embedded.

So because the OS is embedded the dvr should use the hard drive just as storage. So I removed the broken Maxtor 120 gb drive and replaced it with some 160 gb I found somewhere. My unit, according to the directions does not support multiply drives. But looking at the mother board (picture 3) there is a place for the drive’s power cord and you could probably use a Y connector on the mother board power? It also looks like just a standard ide drive and maybe just a master / slave ide cable will allow 2 drives? I did not try it though because I have never had any space problems. Next you power the unit on and it says “ALL HDD DATA WILL BE ERASED” I did not know what was on the drive so why not erase it all (that mean “initialize”). Then the unit formats the drive and it works.  Yea!

One of my customers tried to fix my high pressure hose problem with a towel and some electrical tape.  I guess it worked pretty good?  Looks like the hose was cut somehow twice and one of the cuts was deep enough to cause a leak.  I just replaced the hose.

What is the purpose of hill climbing? Seriously!

IMG_0338.JPGIMG_0343.JPGIMG_0360.JPG

Well, I can not figure out the purpose and really not sure how to stop this, besides spending the night and calling the Police.  But my plan (this is from a non-truck owner and never off-roading ever guy) was to dig a hole on one side of their ramp.  My logic is if I dig it down far enough the average truck will not be about to get up the hill?  I was also thinking about installing posts but I am afraid someone is just going to rip it out of the ground.  So seriously email me if you have any knowledge of preventing it or if you know the purpose of this event.

Problems after I got back

The security camera dvr decided it wanted some attention.  It wanted some  “hdd reconstruction”, sounds like fun.  My Rowe changer also quit working with a “REJECT-BILL S” or “REJECT-BILL 5” error?  The funny thing about the error is that it is not in the Rowe manual.

I also talked to the Rowe booth distributors and have some more information to post later.  Also a demo of how to change out the non-existing $5 bill upgrade board.

At my other wash I pulled up to an abandoned car.

Tire cleaner leak

Don’t you hate it when you see a leak and when you turn off the function you can not find the problem?  It seems to always happen to me and I think it is about time to purchase all new hoses for the wash.
