Is this a crime?

IMG_3353.jpg

While going though the garbage all day, I found these.  This begs the question:  Is it a crime to throw away real replica parkay flooring?  Is it a crime to mark down such great flooring for $2.98 a box?  Is it a crime if I throw them back in the dumpster?

I remember my apartment in college had linoleum or vinyl flooring.  I remember walking in the kitchen and a tile stuck to my foot, those were the days.

My boom problem

IMG_2229.JPGIMG_2933.JPGIMG_2938.JPG

It took forever to figure out what the problem was with the boom.  I installed a new shiny Mosmatic 90 degree swivel and it would still leak.  Took off the swivel and it looks like a good bit of the threads are semi-stripped.  So I really tightened the swivel down and the leak went away.  (This was the first time for that problem, I guess the car wash gods are eating away at the boom slowly and the booms life is coming to an end.)  Since I tightened the swivel more it made the swivel too high so you could not install the high pressure hose (because of the hp fitting).  So I had to make some extra room with my grinder.

While I was repairing the bay I decided to replace all the hoses and fittings.  I used the black hose (6 foot hp hose) in the boom, then a brass coupler, then a 4 inch piece of stainless steel piping (to prevent the boom from rubbing a hole in the hp hose), then a brass 90.  After I install that setup I added a 1 foot hp hose (swivel saver), next a swivel and then a 8 foot hose.  You could then do a swivel then the gun, but I left out that swivel.  I am not really sure you could tell the difference.

This time I purchased these fancy Mosmatic in-line swivels.  They are shinny and look better for now.

Maybe someone could send in your bay setup and I could post some pictures?

Great idea at RaceWay

IMG_3281.jpgIMG_3289.jpg

I thought this was really a great idea.  This card allows you to swipe the card then go inside to pay via credit card or cash.  This is so you can start pumping gas before you pay.  The reason this is useful is they do not turn on any pumps until you pay cash or credit card.  But I want to use my credit card inside so I can charge my Jolt Cola and porn mags on the same bill.  What a dilemma!  They basically put you drivers license on file (not sure why they don’t use video cameras)?

Car wash supply purchase

IMG_2914.JPG

I need to start documenting my purchases better so I do not purchase the same crappy products all the time.  So….first the FedEx guy gets my stuff off the truck…

IMG_3115.jpgIMG_3114.jpg

The 2 powder chemicals that I purchased were:  1) JBS Hydro White Powdered Tire & Engine Cleaner from Kleen-Rite for $47.57 (JBBX5401).  2) JBS Frenzy Powdered Presoak from Kleen-Rite for $52.54 (JBBX5201).

I have already purchased this tire cleaner before and even though it says white it is yellow.  Also when you dilute it according to directions it is too weak.  So this is the cwguy tire cleaner mix.

IMG_3144.jpgIMG_3150.jpgIMG_3152.jpgIMG_3154.jpg

First I added 30 gallons of hot water.  Next I opened the garbage bag and scooped out some powder.

IMG_3157.jpgIMG_3161.jpgIMG_3175.jpgIMG_3183.jpg

I blended it all up and ran it for 30 minutes and pumped it out.  I think that I added the powder too fast because the last picture shows all that was left at the bottom.  It made a total of about 34 gallons.  I will let you know what it looks like when I use it.

Making powder presoak

This is JBS Frenzy Powdered Presoak from Kleen-Rite for $52.54 (JBBX5201).  This product looks just like the JBS tire cleaner.  It also looks the same when mixed up and it costs $5 more.  Now this might have been really stupid so check out what I did next.

IMG_3196.jpgIMG_3198.jpgIMG_3203.jpg

I have gotten complaints every time the tire cleaner it not yellow and the presoak is the same color as the tire cleaner.  So I added some red hyper concentrate tri-foam to turn the color anything but yellow.  So I got orange and the last picture is all that was left in the drum.  This time I gradually added the powder instead of dumping it in faster.

Now I have around 46 gallons of ORANGE presoak.  That is a first?

Unloader problem – update

IMG_2992.JPGIMG_2996.JPGIMG_2997.JPG

I installed my spare unloader today.  When installed it only gave me around 500 psi.

IMG_3000.JPGIMG_3006.JPG

Not really sure how I got the pressure to 1200 psi but I did.  Maybe someone can explain to me how to do it correctly.  (US ParaPlate, model BR5-2 pressure 750-2000 psi)

Unloader problem

IMG_2757.JPGIMG_2752.JPG

Always bad when water in coming out from underneath the equipment room door.  The unloader stem broke off.  Not really sure if that is normal wear or not.  Kleen-Rite sells replacement stems but I am not really sure how to get the stem out of the unloader.

The pump was running rough so I replaced the o-rings.  Afterwards it still was running rough and I think the pump needs to be readjusted, but I did not have my socket set with me.
