I got my temporary Procon pump from my Dad today. I have never replaced a Procon pump but William said it is easy, which it was.
You just have to remove the old pump. Mine is a clamp style because it is clamped on like the second picture shows. The other type is flange type.
Then you put the “magic piece” (second picture) which make everthing work in the motor, line it up with the pump, tighten the clamp on the pump and motor, install all the hoses back correctly and test. Done!
Maybe when your hoses start falling apart? I just replaced the hose with another worn out hose. Sounds good?
One of my RO hoses sprung a leak today. It actually was nice having a fine mist spray on you when it is 100 outside.
I had a high pressure hose leak today. I had to insert a smaller hose and attach a reusable fitting.
I hooked up all the chemicals today and also ran all the hoses to the chemical drums.
Greg came by the carwash today to help us troubleshoot my water pressure problem. His idea was to get a water pressure gauge and see what the water pressure is before the regulator (hose bib) and before the Water Wizard hydrominder. It ended up that I was getting 90 psi before the regulator and 40 psi before the hydrominder. Then we decided to remove a large inline filter and the pressure jumped to 60 psi. This jump in water pressure to 60 psi with the 1″ water line allowed me enough water to keep up with the high pressure functions.
William installed the undercarriage today.
I tightened up all the hoses today to stop all the leaks.
Lengthened all the hoses to the Water Wizard unit today. We still have the rail heat, air line and high pressure hoses to go. Then I need to connect the soft water, city water, ro water, check the electrical, make sure the phone line works (which it does not), and get service for accepting credit cards. I also need the final building inspection. Also, in general, just see if the equipment still works after being transported and stored for such a long time.
As for the phone line I called yesterday about the line and they said it worked. So I plugged a phone into the phone box attached to the building and I did not get a dial tone. I assume this should work? But the person I was talking to could not answer this technical question. I did learn this though: when calling the phone company, “you should know your phone number”. I guess everyone gives me a hard time?
William installed the hoses today for the Water Wizard. I am about 30′ short so I ordered my hoses to lengthen them.
William and I installed the eyes, rails and treadle.
We also installed the hoses and power through the boom. According to our local rep I have the old style boom and it is not very desirable. I think a new one cost around $3,000?
We also installed the entry gate.
