I love replacing 90 degree swivels. My favorite is when a hose falls out of the 360 boom and you have to put it back in. (If you have ever replaced one before you know what I’m talking about.)
Unloader problem – update
I installed my spare unloader today. When installed it only gave me around 500 psi.
Not really sure how I got the pressure to 1200 psi but I did. Maybe someone can explain to me how to do it correctly. (US ParaPlate, model BR5-2 pressure 750-2000 psi)
Unloader problem
Always bad when water in coming out from underneath the equipment room door. The unloader stem broke off. Not really sure if that is normal wear or not. Kleen-Rite sells replacement stems but I am not really sure how to get the stem out of the unloader.
The pump was running rough so I replaced the o-rings. Afterwards it still was running rough and I think the pump needs to be readjusted, but I did not have my socket set with me.
Hydrominder Problem – update
Earl sent in a message about my previous hydrominder problem:
Earl Weiss says: “I think the white float is sitting too low in the water. My guess is it has some water in it. Pull it out of the tank and look at it. You will be able to see if there is water in it. If there is you can unscrew the cap and empty the water, but if it has water in it it most likely has a leak and will happen again and needs to be replaced.”
He was exactly right about the float: the next day I was trying to fix the problem and noticed (top picture) that the float was full of tire cleaner. I replaced the float and I think everything is fine now. Thanks for the comment Earl and if you want you can check out the exciting video again so you can notice the problem now in retrospect.
Vacuum island light burnt out – Update
Thanks to Carolyn for reminding me to fix my burnt out bulb, I totally forgot about it. Also, thanks to Greg for the bulb.
Self Cleaning Solenoid?
When tire cleaner is just coming out of the high pressure gun it is bad news. I was wondering what happened to all the tire cleaner in the equipment room? The next 2 pictures are the solenoid and the piece of trash that caused all the problems. It also came out all by itself.
Sensortron problem
Not really sure how this happens? But there was a coin jam. Also some D/H Max-Vend II problems. I’m never quit sure why this happens. I guess it just likes to cause trouble.
Hydrominder Problem
This is an interesting problem where the pvc looks like it is not level and makes the hydrominder stick. I am not sure how this problem just started though. It was leaking into the presoak tank and on the floor. I also have an action packed video.

More vacuum fun
I was having problems with this vacuum not working correctly. I changed out the brushes and still had the same problem. The problem was the bags were full. There is a guy who cleans them out at night and I totally forgot to check the bags every month.
Vacuum island light burnt out
I removed the burnt out light that I need to replace. It was a Sylvania Metalarc M59 R M400/U. Whatever that is, I need a new one.
