How not to remove a pulley? – Update

After Mep1 told me I was heating up the wrong thing, I took his advise and heated up the pulley this time.  I believe that my problem is the wheel puller end that goes on the shaft is too fat?  The last picture shows the furthest I can pull the pulley off.

I also beat the pulley with a hammer after a chunk of the pulley flew off and I picked it up like I was retarded.

Mark VII makes the most inaccessible self serve unit ever?

I know I am always complaining about my Mark 7 self serve equipment, but it is only when I need to try and fix something.  The first picture shows the solenoid and needle valve that brings the wax to the high pressure water.  I needed to remove the needle valve, which sounds easy.  You just have to take the solenoid all apart and everything is so cramped, it is just terrible.  The second picture shows; on the left the high pressure soap solenoid valve and on the right the wax solenoid valve.  The high pressure soap it under the motor and is even harder to get to then the wax.  I hope that Mark 7 has changed some of this layout.  But I guess the previous owner could have did this?

Craftsman table saw

I think that this Craftsman table saw is a piece of crap, model number 137.218240.  The motor can pull wood chips into the table saw motor, seems like a bad design.  But that was not the problem.

I decided to check the power switch.  When I opened the switch cover it had sawdust in it.  The last picture shows sawdust in the wire terminals.  I took them all off and cleaned it out than everything was fine.  Terribly bad design.

Hamilton Changer problem – interesting problem

So I got a call about my changer stealing someones money.  I threw the switch on the coin hopper and it was jammed.  It just looked like a normal jam but it was only one quarter.  I had to take it apart, which seemed odd.  While inspecting the problem I noticed that a screw was jamming the hopper (third picture).  It was very bad luck because it should have fallen out the crap holes (forth picture).  The screw came from the bill acceptor flap.

I can’t decide if I want to replace with a stainless guard or another factory plastic one?  If anyone has the stainless guard installed please send me a picture.  Thanks.

Out of its misery?

Well it finally happened.  Someone put my Jim Coleman CT-2000 meter box timer out of its misery.  I also figured out today the CT-2000 timer can be swapped out with the Jim Coleman 1034R.

Montezuma’s Revenge?

Is the Montezuma Tequila and the IDX X-10 coin acceptor breaking related?  Is it Montezuma’s Revenge on not purchasing a Sensortron?  Is it possible to fix an IDX X-10 for less then what it cost to purchase a new one?

My Rowe International changer problem, again!

My Rowe International changer had a unique problem today, which I never had before.  The CCC error was “VALIDATING” and the transporter was just running non-stop and no bills were in the changer or were accepted since my last visit.

Using Rowe International seems so much more official then plain old Rowe changer.  I think maybe if I respect the changer maybe it will work for a couple days without any problems?
