Hamilton credit card acceptor problem – Update
To get the Hamilton credit card acceptor out of the unit there are 4 bolts that hold it into the acw-5. Unbolt them and the credit card acceptor comes right out. Then remove 2 screws and the acceptor comes off the holder. I then mounted the new acceptor and reversed the process, tested my credit card and everything worked great! Now I can accept credit cards with my acw-5.
Drain clog again?
I had to take out the high pressure drain setup today to try and clear a clog. I think I need to get the motorized plumber snake out to fix this one. Sounds like fun right?
Hamilton credit card acceptor problem
So after the download procedure I noticed that my credit card acceptor was not working. It seems very easy to trouble shoot on the acw-5. There are 2 plugs (second picture) on the back of the reader the second plug (red and black wire) should be 5 V DC. While the top plug (yellow and brown) should be 5 or 8 V DC, of course it was ZERO V DC. So I need to purchase a new credit card acceptor because Hamilton does not repair the acceptors anymore. They cost $320 from Hamilton, but I called my buddy Randy Nix at Eagle Car Wash and he treated me right.
Vacuum motor gasket problem
I was having a problem with my vacuum not working correctly and I could not figure it out. The motor gasket was really flattened so I replaced it and the vacuum seems to work a lot better now.
High pressure hose leak
I had a high pressure hose leak today. I had to insert a smaller hose and attach a reusable fitting.
Documenting problems with the Automatic
These were all the problems that Greg pointed out the other day for me. Mostly lights with one clogged nozzle.

Telco Magic Box problem – Update
I got my Telco PA11B303T Magic Box this morning. I installed the new box and everything lit up (third picture). I tested the Water Wizard and everything worked great.
Telco Magic Box problem
I had my first paying customers that I have seen today but the only problem was the Water Wizard did not work right. The gantry boom would not go down during the wash and the wash would stop before the triple foam function.
About the problem: The Telco PA11B303T “magic box” works with the transmitting and receiving safety eyes located on the gantry and the cans on the front of the gantry. When the gantry safety eyes do not read a car the unit will not drop the boom, which was my problem. But the real problem was my Telco magic box when I switched the boxes the signal indicators were not lit and would follow the box. So I am going to over night a new magic box to get my automatic to work again.
