I just love cleaning out these pits. The only thing that would make these pits better is if they were shallower and narrower, if that was possible.
Broken back up air compressor – Update
Well, I installed the belt today. First I removed 3 bolts (3/8″) that hold down everything (last picture).
Then removed 4 bolts (3/8″) from the pump thing. This is how you get the belt on.
Then put the belt around the plunger then around the small gear. Then roll it around the large gear. Done!

To order the belt just call 1-888-895-4549 and ask for the 007-0068 belt. It is the only belt they ship / sell, so it is easy.

It only took me 5 months to order and get the replacement belt. The bill did not have a total but the sales person said it should cost around $40. Now I need to install the belt.

Icy Trash
Still below freezing and there was kind of a trash problem at Wylam. Really nothing happening exciting today.
Hooked up anti-freeze based chemical – Update
I think that the anti-freeze won the contest against the water weep system for my foam brush. But, that is because my weep mizer was messed up and I needed to readjust it another degree. For the water weep system, only 2 out of 4 bays were weeping while the anti-freeze worked in all the bays. I also needed to salt the bays today. I was surprised with how many people actually washed their cars today when it was below freezing.
Hydrominder problem
My hydrominder got stuck so I squeezed the metal piece that holds the float. I believe it was sticking in the cap.
Am I cheap or practical? You decide!
My Weep Mizer was giving me the wrong temperature so I went to Lowes to purchase a thermometer. I really wanted to purchase an ir thermometer but my cheap / practical side made me purchase the $5 digital thermometer instead of the ir for $64.98.
My Weep Mizer says it was 43 degrees and the cheap thermometer said it was 38 degrees.
Greg told me that there was a screw on the censor to adjust the temperature on the Mizer. I decided to just adjust the start temperature by 5 degrees!
Foam brush weep system
I hooked up my foam brush weep system today. The check valve at the far end is used as a plug because I did not have one with my today.
I just attached the foam brush weep to one of the pumps weep lines for now, but I will need to purchase some parts and mount it better later. The last picture shows the weep solenoid on the far left which is where I will be mounting the weep line.
Water Wizard Preparation – Wire run
I had to rerun the Dixmor Weep Mizer wires today. It went from the crap in the first picture to the nice and neat last picture. But during the journey I blew its fuse so I had to drive to Lowes, which is great fun!
Water Wizard Preparation – HP hose runs
I reran some high pressure hose runs today. One of the hoses I used today had a leak in it. Cool!
