The pumps work today! Boy was it a pain wiring the Marathon Electric Motor. I dropped a nut into the motor and then had to remove the motor off its mounts…. fun fun fun! Then I had a leak (last picture) but it was easy to fix. We will see what happens tomorrow because the RO tank might overflow!
I hooked up the pumps most of the way today. I put the pumps in place and attached all the hoses! I just need to attach the power and it will be ready. When I was done and about to leave the water line fell off somehow (which is connected via a push lock fitting), but luckily I was still there! You can actually see it about to fall off in the first picture.

The Erie Brush vacuum hoses almost made it 2 years. I think that is pretty good? But looking at the vacuum hose closer the yellow does not look so good. I probably should have purchased a different color or already replaced them.
To install my new Marathon motor and Multi-Stage Motor, I purchased some 5/16-18 stainless steel hex cap screws, flat washers and lock nuts. Why would the manufacture (Hillman) package the hex cap screws in a pack of 3, the flat washers in a pack of 5 and the lock nuts in a pack of 5? Does that make any sense? I need 8 of each so I need 2 packs of lock nuts, 3 packs of screws and 2 packs of washers?
Look and see if you can spot the problem with the vacuum motor. The dome on the vacuum was luckily not hurt. I also added a new gasket. I stuck it on the vacuum motor just like Greg taught me! JK Greg.
Which is more fun? I pick…. being at home!
I forgot to post this earlier but Greg gave me some used vacuum hoses from his Morgan Road wash, which are actually very nice. Thanks Greg for the hoses!
Well I removed the 1″ barb today, which I was scared to do. It came right off though, which is good. But look how bad it got: I really should have paid better attention.
I believe that the fitting is rusting away? I am going to purchase the parts today and wait till tomorrow just in case something bad happens.
I installed the piece today! It worked great, saved money on parts and was push lock!
