Fixed my last busted copper pipe using one of the SharkBite’s slip fittings! I actually cut the busted part out in under 2″!
Low Pressure Problems Also!
Don’t worry… I also had some low pressure problems also. There were 2 problems but these problems are easy to fix.
Interesting Problem?!
One of my bays quit working so I started trouble shooting it and realized the pump was not receiving water.
The first picture shows what the supply hose is supposed to do and the second picture shows what it is doing now. The last picture shows the crap in the hose when I stuffed a 3/8″ hose down it. I think that when it froze the hose broke down or something and clogged up? I really have no idea what caused this problem. Any ideas?
Water Rushing Sound!
I opened the door and I thought I was hearing a busted water line. But, it was only my weep solenoid valve dying! It was quite loud but did not give off that much water.
Tire Cleaner Problem
I am not really sure how this occurred with the regulator? I guess it got too cold and it blew off?
Leaky Water Regulator
Is everything in the equipment room busted? Now the water regulator is leaky!
Two New Busted Pipes!
I turned the water on again and guess what happened?! I found 2 new busted copper lines and of course both were behind the air compressor!
SharkBite Fittings for my Broken Pipes
I used some SharkBite fittings to fix my 1″ copper water lines. I used a coupler and this neat slip fitting. This slip fitting allows for a 2″ gap to be in the pipe and you just slide the fitting over the gap.
Two More Breaks in my Copper Pipes
I tried to turn the water back on today and discovered that I had 2 more breaks in my copper pipes. If you notice in the second picture one of the breaks is located behind the boiler (of course)! The third picture shows that I still have a small ice problem!
Can Cold Weather Break Air Compressors?
Can cold weather kill air compressors? Because now I have one dead Lowes air compressor and another air compressor that the motor had to be reset.
