Why would Ryko publish their Code-A-Wash 4 Manual? or what every their entry unit is called? I forgot the name of the thing which I OWN! 🙂
I actually called Ryko they said they do not have it in PDF format… BUT I can purchase it! I think it was $50-100? NICE! 🙂 Why would they put it online?
Also what really bugs me is on their website they state under “Ryko Advantage” “Proprietary Technology”? WHAT! Shouldn’t customers demand the exact opposite? If the Car Wash industry demanded better standard products maybe we would have products like the vending industry? With interchangeable parts? With DEX and MDB? Instead we have dumb proprietary stuff and expensive proprietary parts and are enslaved to one vendor like a sucker sucked into the sales pitch…. the end 🙂
Yeah I don’t have my own products! After looking at the swipe and clean though I should have made one. 🙂 But I can have my own options for now. The full service controller companies are the worse with over priced stuff. But the market is just so small.
Interesting name of this guys book:  Make your Fortune Washing Cars Plus only 40 years in the business?  I’m not even impressed!  No parents or grand parents helping with knowledge?  Another thing I’m not impressed about is making it in the car wash industry 40 years ago.
Actually the people that are going to do good now are all the people purchasing these foreclosures!  Any advice on building new is pretty dated information.  But click on the link above and look at the cover of the book.  🙂
Plus how is it a good “investment” to build new when there is a new wash struggling or the bank owns one next door?  Plus so what if you have cash?  It’s still a stupid investment.  Does anyone ever stop and think that a sales person “might” make money off you!  🙂  Why do you think they call you so much and they are “trying” to be your best friend…. until they get all there money?
If I write a book it needs to cost less then his… then I will name it “SO…… YOUR STUCK WITH A CAR WASH….. oh and there’s 100 down the street! Â :)”

So does Royal Services have to pay some sort of sewer tap fee? I did. Or do they pay a fee to pollute the storm water? Actually is this legal? He was not capturing the runoff. This company or guy is probably costing Jefferson County more to clean up his mess then what he makes! Looks like maybe even HF wheel cleaner…. down the storm drain. Also I see a flammable sticker on a gallon of chemical right next to a gas generator in his van…. good location. I also assume he is storing it correctly when traveling… I didn’t say anything about that! He knows the laws in Alabama! 🙂 This guy probably even uses residential water. I wish I could use residential water.
Well…. My Raypak W-0514A-BCDRDBA was not made of solid gold or copper! Best thing it had was 4 large asbestos sheets. The unit is so basic it is ridiculousness. All a boiler consists of is sheet metal, asbestos sheets, a heavy cast iron water exchange thing, copper coil things and a gas grill. Should cost $250! Well the asbestos exhaust tubes are expensive.
I also wouldn’t get all excited and expect huge payouts at the scrap yard either…. when you heard about the copper heat exchange tube (part# Raypak 002381F or a bundle 002369F). It wouldn’t scrap for crap unless it was gold. But I haven’t touched or weighed them. But one tube new sells for $222 and a bundle sells for $2,118….. interesting. I need to start building boilers! 🙂

I am not confirming or denying I know the owner of this place. 🙂 But as much as I think this is funny! It’s not really fair that 1 complaint can give you an F! But there “employees” probably throw away the letter from the bbb… or if the bbb even really tries to “contact the owner of the business”? I really think the bbb is about 75-90 percent scam anyway. 🙂 Still funny though.

I purchased this item in a lot of crap and was thinking of “trying” to sell it. But I was wanting to see if the POS (point of sale people! 🙂 worked.
First off who on this Earth would call B&C and try to get crap software that B&C wrote in 1999…. it was crap in 1999. Did anyone every use this thing? 🙂 Did a programmer stop and think at some point… this is a really bad idea?
The unit has mirrored drives and the previous owners decided in there great wisdom to unplug one of the broken drives and not replace it. Then the other failed. SHOCKER! 🙂 So I was thinking B&C could send or allow me to download the software which as the owner of this machine I OWN!
So I called B&C and talked to some lady which seemed to imply I was trying to steal there old crap software? WHY? Seriously why? No really WHY? She wanted numbers from the computer which is fine… who cares? So she figured out that my unit was made in 2004. But it did not have the original Fujitsu hard drives in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO? Then there was some well these were NOT MANUFACTURED from B&C and…. HOW ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THE ENTIRE COMPUTER IS OFF THE SHELF? You guys at B&E manufactured NOTHING! Especially the hard drives… which is even stupid to argue… but she liked to. So I asked if it was possible if the owner re-imaged new drives when a old drive died? (The 2 hard drives are setup in raid 1 or mirrored. Which you would just put in a new drive and it would rebuild the drive.) Basically I’m a moron….. yeah 🙂 Actually a moron could hookup any working drive and the motherboard not B&C would rebuild/copy the new drive.
This was the reason why I can’t get a new image of the old crap hard drive image: B&C has a “special license agreement with Microsoft”? Really? How about the crap box B&C build owns the license… which I purchased? So I own the license or actually the hardware it locked to that license? Well? Unless B&C used the same retail Windows NT license and every SNC they sold? Which by looking at the partial image from the hard drive they do have Microsoft Office also? and it looks like maybe even the full version of Visual Studio VB 5 which is stupid to license on every computer? But again I can just see all the files and VB5 wasn’t fee like VB is now in 1999. 🙂 (Maybe B&C can provide my licenses and documentation?)
The only “real info” I got from them was the unit was 3-4 units behind….. they couldn’t list them all but I didn’t care either. The “upgrade” is $3,200 (they have no manuals/documents but they can send me an invoice! 🙂 which after asking 2-3 time and then just saying “so you basically throw everything away?” Got the answer! They will not help me and nothing in the unit is worth keeping. Sounds like not even the display? But I was really getting sick of getting talked down to by someone who didn’t know anything. But don’t get me wrong! Why should she! It’s 13 years old! But she was just making up crap which is annoying. Like it has software we wrote on it…. yeah (3 small apps: interface, sync with icverify and music?)! Plus… didn’t I pay for them? Plus what good is the software now… or then? 🙂 I asked nicely and said I wanted them? 🙂 Plus ICVerify is doing everything! and master card doesn’t support that version anymore it’s all garbage. AN ASIDE (before I purchased this Swipe Thing): I did actually research icverify and thought it was really pretty good. I would purchase icverify! Don’t think B&C has anything to do with icverify either. Don’t think B&C really tried very hard with the SNC 1.0? I saw it in action. But I know someone used this unit… why you asked? Because ALL THE CREDIT CARD NAMES AND NUMBERS ARE STORED ON THE HARD DRIVE! But I guess this was before certain regulations maybe? 6056 transactions approved credit cards for $20… probably not that great from 5/2005-9/2012? (This SNC unit came from a 1mil+ Coleman mega sales pit. You know how they look and all the equipment they have. Everything Coleman…. which isn’t a bad thing at all. Just this SNC product is bad.) I haven’t looked at the access database yet. Which an access database is also great for production applications! Bad computer programmer JOKE 🙂
This makes me want to write my own computer based credit card system. With something like icverify it really wouldn’t be that bad. The only problem is having a computer. That’s why I needed to call B&C in the first place. I could only imagine how much they would charge for a new hard drive? LOL 🙂 If I had my own cc system I would charge $1,000,000! LOL

They have put there crap propaganda on all my equipment seems like all the time… what the &*$@ it there problem!  I have seem it 3-4 time in the last months and my clean up guy calls and complains all the time (who know though  🙂
Seems like the little lady at check n go didn’t like it when I put a sign on her door?  The lady only liked to make ugly faces and yell?  She’s probably the one that puts the stuff all over my equipment?  🙂  Wonder why she didn’t want my sign on her door?  I was using the sign they put on my equipment?  HOW ABOUT ACTING LIKE A REAL BUSINESS?  Or we can exchange advertising like I suggested?  WOW!  Next time Police…. maybe corporate but there probably independent?  Crap I’ll switch businesses… except there are 300 check places around town…. sound familiar?  🙂  Plus employees are annoying!  They want benefits then the government mandates it then you can’t have your 3 year old work 20 hour shifts anymore.  LOL 🙂

Only thing I regret it having crappy tape!  The asses at check n go use tape that GETS ALL OVER THE EQUIPMENT AND TAKES FOREVER TO TAKE OFF.  Actually I hate Check n go and that lady!  I have wasted more time talking to the clean up person and cleaning up tape because some ass at check and go wanted to make $20 commission while making minimum wage.  Unless it’s the “manager” that put the stuff on my equipment which would be pathetic…. It was probably the manage.  🙂  Plus why can’t they spell their name right?  What does ” ‘n ” mean?  I can’t spell or write but it looks stupid…..  Kind of like….
