I am having a check valve problem so I replaced it today. I took the check valve apart to see if I could figure out what was wrong. The valve was on tire cleaner and there was no crap stuck in it. Maybe the spring in messed up? Or probably a check valve is stuck in a bay but I can not figure it out yet.
The problem is that it’s a J. E. Adams check valve. I quit using them because they’d intermittently stick open. I now use only the Fluid Controls check valve from Kleen-Rite with the teflon seat, and have had no failures at all since switching.
