Old foam brush handle

I was trying to replace the brush and the whole end of the brush handle cracked.  I have never thought to check the end of the handle, it looks totally corroded.

Not really sure about this problem.  The lock would not turn so I sprayed some WD40 in the lock and I was able to wiggle it free.  Do I need to replace the plug lock?

  1. The lock may be dirty – if you spray it thoroughly with WD-40 it’ll rinse it clean. Make sure the small V-shaped metal protrusion is at the top when the safe is locked. If it sits at the bottom, the rust from the housing will make it stick and jam. You can also replace the housing with a stainless steel one, a very simple job.
