My Van Lock key for my Fragramatics vacuum self destructed today. Looks like the screw in the key was loose and when I turned the key the top piece fell off? This has never happened before and is really great because I do not have an extra key. So I will be ordering new locks and breaking into my own equipment!
You would be surprised how many people search my blog for “how to microwave hot dogs”. So I have been revising my hot dog making craft over the last year and decided to post my new method of cooking / boiling / microwaving hot dogs.
First get 2 glass bowls, one is the size of the hotdogs and the other is just acting as a weight. Second fill the bowl about 1/3 up with water. Third insert your hotdogs.
Now insert the small bowl on the hot dogs this will keep the hotdogs under the water to boil the them. Set the microwave for 4:00 on high and hit start. Then they should be done. Also, the bowls will be hot!
Another hotdog eating tip: When eating crappy hotdogs, try adding lots of Tabasco!
To get the Hamilton credit card acceptor out of the unit there are 4 bolts that hold it into the acw-5. Unbolt them and the credit card acceptor comes right out. Then remove 2 screws and the acceptor comes off the holder. I then mounted the new acceptor and reversed the process, tested my credit card and everything worked great! Now I can accept credit cards with my acw-5.
So after the download procedure I noticed that my credit card acceptor was not working. It seems very easy to trouble shoot on the acw-5. There are 2 plugs (second picture) on the back of the reader the second plug (red and black wire) should be 5 V DC. While the top plug (yellow and brown) should be 5 or 8 V DC, of course it was ZERO V DC. So I need to purchase a new credit card acceptor because Hamilton does not repair the acceptors anymore. They cost $320 from Hamilton, but I called my buddy Randy Nix at Eagle Car Wash and he treated me right.
This product is coming soon and is just for MDB coin changers/coin mechs right now. But the cool new MEI product is the Cashflow Series 2000 VNR Vending Recycler. It has a flashy front bezel with leds in it and can also use standard non-flashy bezels. But the best feature is the bill recycler piece. The recycler module holds up to 30 bills then will spit them out for change instead of a bill breaker. Just think about having one of these in your entry unit and giving bills as change instead of change as change!
